The game is played over several hands.
Each hand is divided into rounds.
At the start of a round, if you are the first player, play 1 of your cards face up in the middle of the table.
Each player then takes turns to either:
Play 1 or more cards or Pass
The value of the cards you play must be greater than the value of those already in the middle of the table.

Each game lasts 9 rounds. There are 2 phases to each round:
1. Choose a card
2. Resolve cards in descending order

Each person chooses 1 card from their hand and places it face down in front of them.
Once everyone has chosen, the cards are all turned over at the same time.

2. Resolve cards in descending order
Players now take turns resolving their chosen cards in order from highest value (number) to lowest value
